Sheep Breed: Suffolk x Mule
I was captivated by the beauty of this sheep and how it was photographed sitting peacefully in a paddock, I felt compelled to paint it. I had to wonder if it was contemplating its next move hence the name Rest before rising. The harmony between the landscape and the animals that dwell upon it are always a joy for me to paint. The moody skies feel dynamic and captivating.
I’m so pleased with this painting and hope it finds a happy home.
