Huia on Rimu Oar

Huia

I love up-cycling and was super pleased when I purchased an old broken Rimu oar. The oar reminded me of a feather, in particular the Huia feathers.  Therefore the Huia bird seemed the appropriate subject for me to paint. 

For this piece I have used Acrylic paint and finished with a Satin Varnish.

For interior display only.

Approximately 60 cm long x 8 cm wide x 2.5 thickness.
