Crossing Paths

New Zealand themed series.  (Open edition print)

Kaiteriteri is a town and seaside resort in the Tasman region of the South Island.  Among the trees you can hear the beautiful song of the Native Tui bird with its unusual curled white feathered tufts on the throat (poi).  Below the Tui is the South Island Takahé a flightless bird native to New Zealand bought back from the brink of extinction.  With this piece I imagine, one day the Tui and Takahé ‘Crossing Paths’ in Kaiteriteri.
